    H. Rick Bamman - hbamman@shawmedia.com Books and DVDs pile up on Monday, July 25, 2016 in the book drop room at the Crytal Lake Library. Returned books are sorted by hand and take up to 72 hours to be removed from a patron's account. With a proposed new automated book return system the account would be credited when the book is returned. The City Council this week voted unanimously to place an advisory referendum on the November ballot asking city voters if they'd be willing to pay $30 million to build a new library at the existing site.
