The ride started in Alton then traveled through Tremont, Joliet and Lombard among other areas before finishing in Woodstock. The goal of the event is to honor fallen officers and raise awareness for IL C.O.P.S. (Illinois Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors), an organization that assists surviving families. One officer who is being honored this year is former McHenry County Deputy Dwight Maness, who died on Sept. 14, 2015.
