Reggis, a basset hound/boxer mix, is surrounded by blankets while in his kennel at Animal House Shelter in Huntley Monday, December 6, 2014. The boiler that heats the concrete floor at the shelter went out friday, just ahead of the arctic blast. Black Diamond plumbing company donated their services and fixed the problem. The local community also responded by writing checks and donating bedding to keep the dogs and cats warm.
