Harrison in Algonquin, Ill. to raise money for those affected by the Fox River flood Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017.Other events of the afternoon and evening included live music, food vendors, business expo, market, and a bags tournament. Historic flooding caused festival organizers to first move the event from downtown Algonquin to Algonquin Lakes Elementary School before canceling the festival all together. Founders’ Days has been held in downtown Algonquin since 1961, according to the organization’s website.
