Owner Cassandra Thuneman replaces the strings on a bow Monday in her Algonquin store. According Thuneman, the cold weather has caused an increase in repair business. "With the cold, everything is cracking," said Thuneman, "Strings are a living, breathing things. With the furnace on, it expands and if there's not enough moisture, it will crack." Another round of the record cold temps is expected to hit Tuesday with a high near 6, and wind chill values as low as -23.
