Flooding Impacts Region - nwherald

As of 11:30 a.m. on Thursday the Fox River was at approximately 11.84 feet, which continues to cause flooding in the floodplain. The river crest is projected to be at 14 feet by Saturday. McHenry County Board Chairwoman Tina Hill has declared McHenry County a disaster emergency area. The declaration allows the state to provide assistance to the county. It lasts through Wednesday, April 24, but the McHenry County Board could choose to extend the declaration as needed.
